The MEA Engineering College, the second Self Financing Engineering College in Malappuram district, is committed to provide excellent and value based education with a flair for ethics and professionalism. The College is located amidst panoramic natural beauty overlooking the hills and valleys at Nellikkunnu, near Perinthalmanna, a city of various educational institutions on the Perinthalmanna- Melattur Road. The College is accessible by road, rail and air. It is a venture of “Samastha Kerala Jammiyyathul Ulama” , a society headed by top class intellectuals . The College is governed by the “Muslim Educational Association ” headed by Janab Panakkad Sayed Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal. The Institution is affiliated to the University of Calicut.

MEA Engineering College – An institution par excellence!

The MEA Engg College is actually the materialization of a long cherished vision of the Samastha kerala Jammiyyathul Ulama which successfully runs over 8000 institutions. This is the first venture of Samastha in technological area. Started in 1951, and registered under the society’s regulation act 1860, the organization runs institutions throughout the State of Kerala, outside the State and abroad.

The ultimate aim of the venture is to produce technocrats with excellence, competence, capability and knowledge.

Socially committed and farsighted heads of Muslim community have chosen this backward area to develop a technical institution with an end in view. In the near future, this long-neglected, under -developed area predominated by educationally backward Muslim community will find a place in the technical education map of the Country. The Institution must grow with an aim to develop in accordance with the latest innovations and global advancements in the field of education.
