Eligibility

Eligibility and mode of selection of students are decided on the basis of directions of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, the Govt. of Kerala and the University of Calicut from time to time.

Lateral Entry
Diploma holders are eligible for admission to the second year of the Degree courses subject to the conditions notified by the Govt. and the University.

 


Fees

The fee charged is as per norms set by the government from time to time. Fee is to be paid annually. A student leaving the College during the middle of the course has to pay the fees for the remaining years.


Scholarships
Management offers scholarships and other concessions to those who secure higher ranks in the test conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. Scholarships are also granted to students who are financially backward.

 

Admission

Prospectus and Application Form
Application form and prospectus can be had in person from the College Office, MEA Engineering College, Post Vengoor, Via Pattikkad - 679325, Malappuram District, on payment of Rs. 100/- in cash and by post on receipt of DD for Rs. 130/- drawn in favour of the Principal. The application form can also be downloaded from the site, www.meaengg.in and sent along with DD for Rs. 100/-

Candidates who have qualified in the State Entrance Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination or the test conducted by the consortium of Management of the Self Financing Engineering Colleges alone are eligible to apply.

 


Discipline

There should be strict discipline in the College. Students indulging in unruly behavior affecting the campus discipline or normal functions of the College, will be severely punished including summary dismissal from the College. Ragging in any form is a criminal offence and will be dealt with as such.

Hostel
Hostel facilities are available for boys and girls in the campus.

Attendance
Attendance is compulsory. Students taking leave should produce leave letter signed by the parent/guardian. Un-authorized absence will attract fine. University requirement is that there should be 80% attendance to enable the student to appear for the examination. However a shortage of 10% will be condoned on payment of fee fixed by the University. Another 10% will also be condoned by the University only once during the entire period of course. This is subject to changes from time to time by the University.
